Lecture, workshop, and lunch $125 members/ $150 non-members
Lecture Only: $25 members/ $35 non-members
Join us as we celebrate 75 years of the Elizabeth Lawrence House & Garden during a full day of fun with Brent Heath, owner and bulb aficionado from Brent & Becky’s Bulbs.
Brent’s father, Mr. George Heath, sold bulbs to Elizabeth Lawrence as early as September 1949. George was the preeminent expert and collector of miniature and species daffodils at the time, and Brent recalls Lawrence coming to visit his parents when he was a child. Lawrence was inclusive of him and would include him in the conversation and ask his opinion.
Lawrence referenced Mr. Heath in several of her books including The Little Bulbs, and several of his daffodils can still be found in her garden today.

Workshop: Creating Living Flower Arrangements with Layers of Bulbs
Brent Heath, Owner of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs
Learn which bulb cultivars are best suited to pot culture, and then get your hands in the dirt while creating a pot containing a variety of bulbs to take home. Heath will demonstrate the most innovative methods of creating the forced container, the window box liner, the layered patio planter, or individually potted bulbs. This workshop should expand your gardening palette and give you more hours of garden pleasure with potentially more flowers in new areas of your garden.
