Speaker: Michael Sheek - Garden Curator, Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary

The Curator of the Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary will share rarely-seen historic photos of trees, shrubs, perennials, and bulbs that were planted at Wing Haven by the creators, Eddie & Elizabeth Clarkson.  Attendees will learn about the qualities of these plants and look at current pictures of these plants in bloom. Come dig deeper into Elizabeth Clarkson’s plant and garden design choices.

Michael Sheek is the Garden Curator of Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary. Michael has a degree in horticulture from North Carolina State University,  Sheek has over 25 years of experience in the field.  In his most recent position, he served as a head gardener at Atlanta Botanical Gardens for over 9 years.
